Meet the Dietitians

Welcome to Be Well, the only blog that brings 3 registered dietitians together to share our life eats, feats, and deets. We love food, fitness, family, and friends and on Be Well, we share what we love with you! We hope you enjoy our little corner of the world!

Meet the bloggers:

Rainie Robinson, MS, RD, LD, CDE
Rainie graduated from the University of Alabama where she also completed her dietetic internship and Master degree. She currently works largely with pediatric nutrition and with adults on a smaller scale. After three years working with diabetes and endocrinology, she earned the Certified Diabetes Educator certificate. At home, she enjoys spending time with her {new} husband! She loves to blog, bake, and run with her favorite running friends!

Virginia Anderson, MS, RD, LD
Virginia graduated from Auburn University and completed her dietetic internship and Master degree at the University of Alabama at Birimingham. During graduate school she participated in a traineeship where she learned about nutrition and pulmonary diseases and she now works in pediatric pulmonary and Cystic Fibrosis nutrition. She is a kind hearted, loving person who is always motivating and encouraging others.

Kathleen West, mS, RD, LD

Kathleen graduated from Samford University and went on to complete her dietetic internship and Master degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her traineeship provided a solid foundation of nutrition in the intensive care population. Her current job is primarily nutrition support, lots of tube feedings and TPN's, which she never thought she would like, but turns out it was just the fit for her! She has a passion for general healthy living too!  Blogging about nutrition is the perfect outlet to share the love for real food and a healthy lifestyle. Kathleen loves being active and is always up for a good workout.  She likes to mix up her workouts to challenge herself but her all-time favorite workout is running. Its serves as a great stress reliever and social hour thanks to her favorite running buddies! She is also quite the baker and has a small baking company called "Blue Eyed Baker"...which, is another reason she likes to run.

We share life one prayer, run, and Nalgene full of water at a time. Put on your running shoes and come along!

We believe the purpose of this life is to serve others and shape the legacy you want to leave. Serving others means serving God first, taking care of your body, and constantly reminding yourself that this life is not about you. In today's social media driven world, it is so easy for young women (and men too) to become stuck in a cycle of discontentment and comparison while searching for perfection and control. Life is hard, in fact, God promised us it would be {John 16:33}, but it doesn't have to be miserable. Our straight forward approach to life, health, and wellness is her strength. Sugar coating is not (unless we're talking cookies).
At Be Well, we hope you find tips and ideas to help make healthy living a reality for your family. This site is not about being on a particular diet or eating only organic foods. It's about eating real food, in proper portions, and even eating dessert.  Our mission is to help you find the courage to stop comparing your life to the perfect life painted on social media and start living it the way you were meant to: Properly fueled by good faith, good food, good fitness, and even some good fun!

Real Nutrition is Science...Not Opinion.
