Free Gym Membership:: 7 Ways to Use a Playground

Gym memberships can be pricey and are often the number 1 excuse I hear when talking to people about exercise. The wait is over! You don't need a gym, you only need your body and some daylight! Check out these ideas for using your community to your benefit.

Start slowly and seek advice if you aren't quite sure how to do the movement. Start with 10 reps and do 3 sets (30 total). You can do more or less depending on your fitness level as long as you never lose good form!

1) Park Bench Tricep Dip

2) George's Elliptical

 Since there's no resistance, move as quickly as you can!

3) Box Jump 

4) Decline Push Ups


5) Inverted Row

6) Shoulder Dip

7) Knee Raise
(Optional safety vest for dark mornings!)
(Not optional pepper spray!)

7) Reverse Crunch

I felt pretty weird the first time I used the playground--I guess since it'd been like 10 years since the last time I was on a playground! Now, I am so thankful for Railroad park and the little play area!
