Product Review: Organic Valley Fuel Protein Shake {Healthy Fudge Popsicle Recipe}

I have to admit that when the generous people over at Organic valley sent some delicious protein shakes for us to try, I was hesitant. Rarely do I actually like pre-mixed protein shakes. I much prefer to mix up my own...until I tried the Organic Valley Organic Fuel protein shake. The vanilla was my favorite, naturally, since it tasted like a melted milkshake. I love how fast, low maintenance, and versatile protein shakes can be. Plus, they really have fullness staying power and last right through midmorning snack time!

The only con I found was that there are a few more grams of sugar (27g) than I usually like, but some sugar is expected since they contain lactose (milk sugar). If you prefer lower added sugar like me, they do have a lower calorie version (Organic Balance) and would be more appropriate for post workout snacks or any-time snacks!

The Organic Fuel Shake is 260 calories so it served well as a breakfast replacement on our long road trip! It also passed the teenager test and made a great lunch item for my sister's volleyball tournament! {Even she agreed that it tasted like a milkshake!} Which, made me think, it should be a milk shake---or maybe a popsicle?

Enter deliciously crafted protein pops! At 68 calories a piece, they make  a perfectly refreshing snack that tastes like the fudgsicles from my childhood!
