YCross, Bonefish, and Blogging

Virginia and I went to YCross with our favorite girl, Molly. After 45 minutes with her, we were so "tired".

Get it? :) We missed Kathleen, but we ran 15 miles last weekend and she went to spin class to give her legs a break. It's important to listen to your body and know when you need a break!

I got a little fancy for breakfast with some new Trader Joe finds...

Chocolate Covered Cherry Protein Shake

  • 1/2 cup frozen cherries
  • 1/2 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1 scoop SunWarrior protein powder
  • 1/2 a frozen banana
  •  1 cup coconut milk. 

JT and I went to Nabeel's in Homewood for lunch last Saturday and I had the Peasant Greek Salad, which is basically Greek Salad without lettuce. I'm told that's how it's done in Greece. To say it is now my favorite thing ever would be an understatement. I tried to recreate it on my own and got pretty close, but more research is needed. 

In vegetable preparation, and pretty much all cooking period, a good knife makes all the difference. Thanks to my MIL, I have a sharp knife that makes cooking 50 times easier! If you don't like cooking, get a new knife. 

JT's parents were in town and invited us to dinner and we got super lucky by ending up at Bonefish Grill on Wednesday where the Bang Bang shrimp is half priced! {Full caloried, as in like a crazy 800 calories amount, but half priced and totally filling} 

For dinner, I ordered the tilapia with mango salsa, which is one of the lower calorie options I have found there (around 300 calories). The seasonal side was spaghetti squash and I chose broccoli to round out the meal. It was delicious! I saved half for lunch the next day and put it on top of lettuce with some rice wine vinegar and called it a salad. I love it when one meal feeds me twice. It satisfies my inner cheapskate.

After dinner, I joined a free webinar from Helene in Between and learned some blogging tips before calling it a night.
