Venison Lasagna

I have been a little MIA lately, but I'm happy to be blogging again!  The Be Well girls started off the day with a morning jog.

Before leaving the house, I had a granola bar, a cup of coffee and a big glass of water.

Now that the time changed, it is light outside by 6am which is optimal for a morning run!

As usual, we got ready for work at Rainie and JT's loft and Rainie, being the amazing hostess that she is, had clean towels and a fresh pot of coffee ready and waiting for us when we got back from our run!

I went on a work outing today with 2 of my amazing co-workers.  My granola bar did not last very long after running 4 miles so I had another one mid-morning while we were in the car.  We are working, but we always have the best time too!  What a difference it makes to have co-workers who are also your friends.  I am so thankful for all of the support and encouragement that we are able to give each other not only at work but in life too!  We stopped by Chik Fil A and grabbed a quick bite to eat on the way back to work.  We ate really quickly in the car because we had to be back by 1pm and we knew that we would be cutting it pretty close.  I got a grilled chicken sandwich with the honey roasted BBQ sauce, fruit, and a diet frosted lemonade.  This is the second time I've had the diet frosted lemonade and basically it is the Chik Fil A diet lemonade blended with their Ice Dream and it is amazing!  I may have had a couple of Stephanie's French fries too!

For an afternoon snack, I grabbed some peanut butter and graham crackers to hold me over until I got home for dinner.

I have been looking forward to my dinner all day!  I tried out a new recipe for deer meat lasagna.  I made a chopped salad to go with my lasagna.  My salad was a mixture of spinach, baby heirloom tomatoes, bell peppers, honey roasted almonds, a few fried onion crispies, and Ken's light balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

I am going to introduce a new fact about myself.  I typically go deer hunting with my Dad 1 or 2 times each year.  I look forward to it every year because it is the best quality time with my Dad and we always have a blast!  It helps that our track record is just about perfect.  We always see a deer and so far my aim hasn't failed me so we always come back with some meat.

Well that pretty much wraps up this Tuesday!
