(Healthier) Apple Pie

Thanksgiving is upon us, and this year I'm making my very own Thanksgiving dinner! We aren't able to make the trip home this year, so I've decided we would start our own tradition. I was going through the many boards on Pinterest to find an easy, yet delicious (& somewhat healthy) dessert for just 2 people. I came across a little recipe for mini apple pies, and I'm going to give those a try! If any of you go with this recipe on Thanksgiving, or any time after that, you'll have to let me know how your's turn out!

1 can Pillsbury Reduced Fat Crescent Rolls
2 Tablespoons melted margarine or light butter (I prefer Land O' Lakes Light Butter with Canola Oil)
Cinnamon
Honey
1 large apple (I like Fuji or Honey Crisp, but you can use any you like), sliced

1. Spread thin layer margarine on inside of roll, spread tiny drop of honey along roll (a lil honey goes a long way), sprinkle with cinnamon
2. Place 1 or 2 slices apple, roll crescent around apple slices
3. Spread another thin layer of maragarine on top of crescent roll, and lightly dust with cinnamon
4. Place crescents on greased cookie sheet, bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes or until golden brown
5. Serve warm with 1/2 c vanilla low-fat frozen yogurt and a tad more cinnamon if desired

Happy Thanksgiving!
